HOLY.. long time..
So my last post was when Justin was 3 months.. and yes.. he is now 16 months old.. where does the time go...
Here is a breakdown.. thought it might be fun to have a spot to write and see what we are up to at different points in our life.. oh and if anyone really wanted to stalk us.. they would know our location.. LOL.. :)
Mondays- preschool for Jacob, me and Justin usually have been going to the Y or running errands..
Tuesdays- Gymnastics at High Flyers, Jacob just got moved (promoted) to the advanced class, so far he did great the first day, says he really likes it, so we will probably stay with it as long as he is into it.. and we got 6 months free through a military scholarship.. so hey.. I'm up for it too. :) After class we try to get together with friends, usually Jackie, Kennedy, Cooper and Keegan as they are free on Tuesdays as well..
Wednesdays back to preschool for J.. now in the 4 year old class at Country.. he seems to like it better each time he goes, really does like the teachers and I think the strictness/disapline is really good for him.. Justin and I have been getting stuff done on Wednesdays/appts/etc..
Thursdays-- every other week has been a fabulous daycare day for us now that Daddy is overseas full time, Miss Jennifer has been awesome with the boys, they really enjoy going over to her house, there is a little girl Jacob knows from preschool last year and we had known Jennifer from a mommy group.. and there are several little kids to play with there too.. Mommy really enjoys these days, getting hard to do things done when the boys are around.. or when we are all together on Thursdays.. yet another fun playday to get together with friends!
fridays- j back to school, Justy and mommy have been trying to get together with friday playgroup livingston mommies when we can, but lately seems that so much has come up to prevent it.. either sickness, or weather, or classes that Jacob is taking..
Overall, just trying to stay busy so time goes fast while daddy is gone, Jacob asks often now about daddy, at least 2-3 times a day..he knows where daddy is and is looking forward to his birthday when we have decided Jason will hopefully get to come home for a visit (in May) tick time tick. :)
Halloween is now over and I am thankful, it was a long october full of fun events but with us being sick for around the last 3 weeks I am ready for a new month, hopefully full of healthy children! :) Our new babysitter Paige starts tomorrow, hope she works out well! Hopefully it will not be another year before I post an entry!

April Update 2010
So for sure starting to slow down a little bit with the last trimester starting this week!! Excited to have the baby here, but sad to have it end. Busy couple weeks ahead of us with a baby shower from my friends (thanks Michelle and Laura), registering Jacob for preschool in the fall, and hopefully having a garage sale next weekend!!
We had our first zoo trip of the season to Potter Park, one of many I'm sure this year!! Jacob really enjoyed himself, and got the most out of roaring back at the Tiger! :) He is super talkative these days, enjoys singing or talking to himself! Proud to say he knows all his alphabet by sight and can also recognize by sound each letter! Thanks to Leap Frog videos and reinforcement of course! :) I can't wait to get him into a program where it is more consistent with what he is learning.. I'm a slacker most days..
Been planning his birthday celebration, hoping to do a carnival theme with a pinata and sno cones and a couple bouncy houses borrowed from friends. I can't wait.. but hopefully I will feel up to it then.. that's still a month away.. ugg..
Still enjoying ourselves in our playgroups and mommy groups, we stay busy almost every day.. sure need to try to stay home more and scale back a little bit, but it's soooo hard to do, especially when the weather is soo nice!

Hello Spring!!
So busy days since the weather has turned!! Love hanging outside at the park or in the backyard.. Jacob really LOVES his swingset and all kinds of playgrounds.. and the best part.. stays on them the whole time vs. running away!! Which is great because I'm not super into running these days after him! He has also made a big transition when we are at the stores and walks along side of the cart.. Perfect because there will be another little boy in the cart soon!! :)
I think he is going to be a great big brother. He really loves babies.. but just may take some getting used to on the sharing!! Our preschool class has ended, it was fun but glad it's over.. the last couple weeks were a little trying with the lack of sharing!
Just painted the baby's room! I did some cute stripes in there over the existing color. It turned out super cute! Now to just find some accessories and a set of sheets.. and the room will be ready for our new June addition!! :) For sure getting more excited as I'm getting bigger and continue to feel the baby kick box all the time!

Welcome to our lives.. Baby Boy #2..
So it's been a week since we found out we are having another little boy.. Still on June 25th.. Excited now.. for sure took some time to adjust to the fact of not having a daughter.. Hopefully will be able to convince Jason to try for number 3.. but not sure if I will want to have another after a second baby boy.. Jacob I think will adjust well.. He really likes babies and is very good with them.. Lately he has become attached to my old baby cabbage patch kid "baby Richard". He carries him around and tells me that Baby Richard needs his diaper changed mama.. Pretty darn cute! :) I think he will be a good helper to bring mommy stuff when the baby is born!!
We are starting to see more people being deployed from Jason's unit.. getting concerned that he may be next.. Hopefully he won't have to go overseas at all.. or at least till after the baby is born!! :) It will for sure be an interesting world without him here to see all the stuff that happens with the baby.. and oh yeah.. me getting any sleep at all! :)
Jacob continues to like his preschool class, we go once a week to a mom and tot class.. we also still love our Wednesday playgroup and all our friends that we get to hang out with! We are finally feeling better after 3 weeks almost of being sick!! Hopefully we will be better for the rest of winter! :) Can't wait till spring!!

A day in the life
So I saw a friends blog and decided that maybe I need to start one, hers was sooo cute.. Here's what's up in our lives..
Jacob is currently sick... Just when I think that he is in the clear.. no luck.. Hopefully he will get better soon! We have already had the swine flu and the stomach flu this last year.. so chances are this is just a long winter and maybe spring will be here soon!
We are so excited that in 5 days we will know the sex of our second baby. I would be lying if we weren't hoping for a little girl, but will be happy either way with a healthy baby! We have some names in mind, thinking of Austin, Justin, Claire, Anna, Julianna, and a couple others.. We will see what happens. Jacob wasn't named till an hour or so after birth.. we are a little indesisive.. Jason actually mentioned the name Brock.. Brock Miner.. not sure about that one yet.. He just loves him in the UFC.. huh..
Jason continues to work for the Army Reserve and we are very proud of him in his commander role.. It sometimes takes a lot of his time, but he puts alot into it! He's also taking classes online to get his degree.. So busy!!
Jacob and I stay super busy with our friends in our mommy groups, we are so blessed to have such great friends close to home! We have really enjoyed getting to know moms and kids in the area, and are currently taking a preschool class that Jacob has been having a good time in. Jacob will probably start at Pinckney for two day a week preschool in the fall.. Not sure if I'm ready for that, or if he is 100% ready, but we will see.. One big milestone was achieved over the holidays... He decided that it was time for no more diapers.. so I just went with it.. he's done awesome, minimal accidents each week so it's been wonderful not to have to buy diapers!! :)
